Application Information

We submit applications to the Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau four times a year.

Please note, it is not possible to start courses outside of the set dates.

Required Documents

  1. Application Form (printed & signed)
  2. Graduation Certificate (from final education)
  3. Transcript of Records (from final education)
  4. 6x Passport photos (3cm x 4cm)
  5. Copy of Passport (including any visits to Japan and/or Japanese visas)
  6. ​Photographic ID (if applicant does not have a passport)
  7. Certificate of Enrolment (if applicant is a student)
  8. Japanese Learning Certificate (from language school or test certificates such as JLPT, J-CERT or NAT-TEST)
  9. Certificate of Employment (if applicant is a full-time employee)
  10. Birth Certificate

Supporter must be a family member only (Mother/Father, Older Brother/Sister, Uncle/Aunt, Grandfather/Grandmother). Extended family are not eligible.

  1. Expense Report (page 4 of application form, printed and signed)
  2. Family Register (if available) or other proof of relationship with applicant
  3. Copy of Passport or other photo ID
  4. Proof of home address
  5. Bank Balance Certificate
  6. Bank Statements / Passbook (past 12 months)
  7. Explanation of Bank Balance Formation
  8. Certificate of Employment
  9. Proof of income (past 12 months)
  10. Tax Payment Certificates (past 12 months)

Supporter must be a family member only (Mother/Father, Older Brother/Sister, Uncle/Aunt, Grandfather/Grandmother). Extended family are not eligible.

※ All documents must be issued within 3 months of submission to immigration.
※ Visa duration will be 1 year 3 months. We do not offer a shorter visa duration.

Visa Renewals

All students who have taken a course of 1 year and 6 months or more are eligible for visa renewal.
