Application Information

1. Applicant must have graduation their last school (high school, college, university etc.) withing 5 years of the application date.
2. Applicant must have studied at least 150 hours of Japanese language in their own country with a certificate of course completion.
   Or have a Japanese Proficiency Exam Certificate (JLPT, NAT-TEST, J-CERT etc.)

1. At least ¥2,000,000 in savings to fund tuition fees as well as establishment in Japan.
2. Must be currently employed.
3. Must be the applicant’s mother, father, uncle or aunt. No extended family can be a supporter.

Only those from OECD countries are eligible for self-support.

8. Japanese Learning Certificate (from language school or test certificates such as JLPT, J-CERT or NAT-TEST)
9. Certificate of Employment (if applicant is a full-time employee)
10. Birth Certificate

Supporter must be a family member only (Mother/Father, Older Brother/Sister, Uncle/Aunt, Grandfather/Grandmother). Extended family are not eligible.
